Bromley Brighter Beginnings - quilts for children

Bromley Brighter Beginnings is a local organisation providing essential baby, child, mother and household items for families in hardship, mostly due to an urgent move to the safety of a refuge.  Bundles of bedding are very much in demand and a cheerful, colourful quilt, Made With Love, will add a bit of cheer in an otherwise bleak situation.  BBB would love single bed quilts (36” x 75”) but also welcome hug quilts (40" x 60", or 50" x 72" for an older child) or lap quilts and play mats (52” x 52” is a good size but there are no rules).  These quilts are for babies and young children so themed quilts (fairies, dogs, dinosaurs, kittens, etc) would enable us to make the gift of a quilt thoughtful and personal when a referral is received.  If you have fabric that would be suitable and would like to donate it to a stash for BBB quilts that we can share with members, Bonnie or Jenni Mogridge would be happy to have it.

To date we have gifted 80+ quilts to BBB. We also raised £1000 for BBB at our 2025 exhibition to support their invaluable work.
