Befriending Quilts

Our quilts are colourful and cosy, and a welcome comfort for someone who needs a quilty "hug".

We gift quilts to a wide range of local people: people with disabilities; the elderly whether living alone or in care homes; women and children in refuges and temporary housing; and those living in hostels for the homeless.

In order to gift to those most in need we work in partnership with local organisations, for example Age UK, Bromley Women's Aid, Bromley Homeless and local Care Homes.

Over the last 5 years we have gifted more than 200 quilts.

The lap quilts should be approximately 40"x50", but this is a guide only. Materials should be robust enough for laundering so cotton blends might wear and wash better. Please use warm batting and/or soft backing like fleece.
