In 2025 we were celebrating 200 years of train travel, so BQ members were
invited to make an A4-sized quilt, with three layers, to represent a London
Underground Station. This could be cryptic or literal and must not have the name
of the station included in the design.
At the exhibition visitors were invited to guess the names of the stations to win a prize, generously donated by the London Transport Museum in Covent
Garden, of two adult tickets to their attraction.
Below are the pictures of all the panels and the answers - why not have a go yourself.
As this was our member challenge, we also invited Nicola Walton of Daisy and Grace to judge the panels and award first, second, third and highly commended to her favourites. These were her picks:
1st LU1 Yildiz Goncu
2nd LU14 Cath Anley
3rd LU18 Gene Le Creff-Chesters
Highly Commended LU34 Eleanor Emery
