Lap quilts for the elderly

New in 2019 - we liaised with the Befriending Service of Age UK Bromley and Greenwich to organise the gifting of lap quilts to elderly residents living on their own who the Befriending Volunteers visit in their own homes.

We have now gifted more than 100 quilts via the Age UK Befriending Volunteers. 

The lap quilts should be approximately 40"x50", but this is a guide only. Materials should be robust enough for laundering so cotton blends might wear and wash better. Please use warm batting and/or soft backing like fleece.
