In February 2019 we launched our latest "Whispers" project. Members taking part were randomly allocated into six teams of six or seven people. One member of each team was given a picture. The task for that person was to make an A4 sized, landscape orientated quilt, inspired by (but not copying) the picture.
Once complete the picture is returned to the organiser, and the quilt passed on to the second person in the team. That person makes their A4 quilt inspired by the quilt they were sent. Again once complete they send the quilt they received to the organiser, and their own quilt on to the next in the team.....
This continues till all members have completed and submitted their quilts.
These collections of quilts will be displayed at our next exhibition, likely to be in Spring 2020.
The photos below are of all the quilts made for the last Whispers Challenge in 2017. It's easy to see why we call it Chinese Whispers!
